Tolliella truncatula was described in 2009 as a new species from China, until then, was the generic Tolliella as monotypic. The new species is similar to T. fulguritella, but differs from it by the absence of short white bar on the front wing base. Before the Apex contrast, there is a large white Costalfleck.
