Thomas David "Tom" Heaton ( born April 15, 1986 in Chester ) is an English football goalkeeper, who is under contract with the English second division side Burnley FC since 2013.

Career

Heaton came in 2002 as a young player at Manchester United and played in the following years for the U -17 and U- 19 of clubs. In 2003 he was at winning the FA Youth Cup reserve goalkeeper behind Luke Steele. In the season 2004/ 05 he was a regular Keeper of the reserve team and won with the team the championships in the Premier Reserve League and the Central League and the Central League Cup.

At the beginning of the season 2005 /06 he was awarded jointly with Colin Heath at Swindon Town After a knee injury of the root goalkeeper Rhys Evans Heaton moved in late August in the starting eleven and came to the end of November for a total of 19 missions. In June 2010, he rejected a new contract offer from Manchester United, since he is counting on more match practice at another club, and shortly thereafter signed a contract with the second division Cardiff City.
