Tom Kitt

Tom Kitt (Irish Tomás Ó Ceit, born July 11, 1952 in Galway, County Galway) is an Irish politician ( Fianna Fáil ) and belongs since 1987 to the Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish Parliament, at.

Kitt visited the St Jarlath 's College in Tuam and St Patrick's Teachers Training College in Drumcondra, a suburb of Dublin. He later became a teacher.

From 1979 to 1990 he was a member of the Dublin County Council. In 1987 he was first elected in the constituencies South Dublin for Fianna Fáil in the Dáil Éireann. As a parliamentarian, he held multiple positions as Minister of State and was dated 29 September 2004 to May 6, 2008 Government Chief Whip. In the 2011 elections to Dáil Éireann 31, he no longer went to.

Kitt is married and has four children, three sons and a daughter. His father is of Irish politician Michael F. Kitt. His sister Áine Brady, and his brother Michael P. Kitt are also deputies in Dáil Éireann.

Politics aside Kitt is an avid marathon runner. Among other things, he took part in five Dublin Marathon, and in 1991 at the Berlin Marathon in 1996 the Belfast Marathon and held in the same year 100th Boston Marathon.
