Tom McGuinness (musician)

Tom McGuinness (actually Thomas John Patrick McGuinness, born December 2, 1941 in Wimbledon, London) is an English guitarist.

Life

In the early 1960s he played in Eric Clapton's first band, The Roosters, with. Thereafter he joined Manfred Mann, with whom he has had some success in the 1960s. It was at this time also a songwriter for other artists. As the band Manfred Mann disbanded in 1969, he founded with Hughie Flint, former drummer of the Bluesbreakers, the band McGuinness Flint with which he landed the hit " When I'm Dead And Gone ". 1975 broke up also this formation. In 1979 he was a founding member of the blues band in which he plays along until today. He also played with The Manfred, a band consisting of former members of " Manfred Mann ", but without the man himself in 2012, he is also back with the Blues Band on tour in Germany.
