Tom Odell

Tom Peter Odell (born 24 November 1990 Chichester ) is an English singer-songwriter.

Biography

At seven, Tom Odell began playing the piano, and later he also wrote his own songs. At 18, he moved from Sussex to Brighton, where he continued his musical education at the prestigious Institute of Modern Music. In addition, he also appeared on solo and eventually formed a band with which he also appeared in London. There he was discovered by Lily Allen and committed for her own label In the Name Of. He received a record deal in 2012 and took his debut album.

In October 2012 advance first EP was released, entitled Songs from Another Love. An appearance on Later with Jools Holland followed the nomination for the Talent Awards BBC ( Sound of 2013) and MTV as well as for the Critics' Choice Award at the " Brits ", which he won. The attention also helped his song Another Love for getting into the Top 75 in the UK charts. In Germany, the song was used in an advertising campaign of telecom mobile division. In other European countries the song was able to place in the charts, among other things, it reached the Top 10 in the Netherlands. The debut album Long Way Down was released in June 2013.

Appearances

Following his tour in Germany in the fall of 2013, he appeared at the finals of the talent show " The Voice of Germany " with the finalist Judith van Hel.
