Tom Willis

Thomas " Tom" O. Willis (* 4 November 1983 in Sydney) is an Australian former football goalkeeper.

Career

Willis played after visiting the Queensland Academy of Sport between 2002 and 2004 in the National Soccer League ( NSL) for Newcastle United. After setting the NSL, he played for one year at Manly United in the New South Wales Premier League, before he signed a professional contract in the newly formed A-League in Queensland Roar. After he was first-choice goalkeeper in the first season, he lost this position in his second season in Queensland to Liam Reddy and his contract was not renewed after the season 2006/ 07. From 2008 to 2010 he played in the regional league Brisbane Premier League for Brisbane City.

Willis belonged in 2003 to the Australian U-20 squad at the Junior World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. During the tournament, he remained as reserve goalkeeper behind Nathan Coe without use.
