Tomas Backman

Tomas Backman (born 16 June 1980) is a Swedish football player. The midfielder won the 2004 with Djurgårdens IF the Swedish Cup.

Career

Backman began playing football at kubbe / Norrflärke IF. Later he moved to the youth department of Anundsjö IF, before he moved on to his early third division Friska Viljor FC 1999. There he fell in 2001 for the first time the leaders of Djurgårdens IF and was invited for a trial. Yet he remained for the time being at the club with which he ascended into the Superettan 2003. In the first half he second division season 2004 he came in 13 games for use and scoring two goals. In the summer, he moved to the Allsvenskan for Djurgårdens IF. On November 11th of that year, he participated in the Cup final against IFK Gothenburg and celebrated a 3-1 win the Cup victory.

In the following game time, Backman was on the bench again. By July he had no use in the Allsvenskan and was therefore on loan from his club to the league rivals GIF Sundsvall in the summer. In the following year he was awarded. In Östers IF he belonged to the permanent employees in the Allsvenskan, but the descent of the club in the second division could not be avoided. Although the club struggled in the wake of a firm commitment of the Left foot, due to the unresolved question of the separation of coach Lars Jacobsson at the club he said, however, from and moved to Jönköping Södra IF.

In the second division season 2008 Backman finished with Jönköping Södra IF the third to last place in the league. Then the team met in the relegation play on his former club Östers IF. After the first leg ended in a 1-2 defeat to Backman was the 3-0 second-leg victory that meant the league, next to the two -goal Kristen Viikmäe Enter the scoresheet. In the following season he was sidelined due to injury at times, yet he extended the end of 2009 his contract with the club. In the season of 2010, he finally was back over long distances to the key players in the midfield of the second division club.
