Tomás Pedro Regalado

Tomás Pedro Regalado ( born May 24, 1947 in Havana ) is an American Univision reporter and politician of the Republican Party. He is the current mayor of the city of Miami, Florida, and successor of Manny Diaz.

Life and work

Regalado was born as the first child of Tomás Regalado Molina and Carmen Rita Valdez de Regalado. In April 1962, he was and sent his younger brother Marcos because of " Operation Peter Pan" to Miami. As a journalist, he worked for several American broadcasters like NBC or Channel 7. In 2009, he sat down with 72 % of the vote by the Mayor of Miami.
