Tomasi Kulimoetoke II.

Tomasi Kulimoetoke II ( born July 26, 1918 in Mata -Utu, uvea, † May 7, 2007 ibid ) was the 50th king of the uvea, a traditional kingdom in the French overseas territory of Wallis and Futuna.

Life

He was born on March 12, 1959 King, after more than six months previously had ruled a council of ministers. After his grandson in 2005 drunk -driving killed a pedestrian and took refuge in the royal palace, there was speculation about an impeachment of the King. The grandson was later arrested by the French police.

Tomasi Kulimoetoke II died after 48 - year reign, at his residence in the uvea at the age of 88 years. His health had recently been hit hard. His successor was Kapeliele Faupala.
