Tomasz Zahorski

Tomasz Zahorski ( born November 22, 1984 in Olsztyn, Poland ) is a Polish footballer.

Career

Association

The striker played in his youth in some unterklassigen clubs such as Pisa Barczewo Stomil Olsztyn or Tęcza Biskupiec before then in 2004 hired the then third division OKS 1945 Olsztyn. Here he was able to fight for a regular place immediately and, after last season to Groclin Grodzisk in the Ekstraklasa ( highest Polish league ). However, the competition for him was very big here, so he moved to the season for Premier League rivals Górnik Łęczna. There he became a regular player and that was less convincing by his goalscoring ( four goals ), but he was distinguished by excellent technique and as an excellent template generator. This aroused the interest of the Polish Gornik Zabrze championship record. Finally to season 2007/ 08 he moved to Zabrze and convinced by his play all critics (30 Spiele/10 goals).

In January 2012 Tomasz Zahorski joined the German second division club MSV Duisburg. In Duisburg striker but the trust of the coach could not win for himself and came up with only four appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga. For the 2012/13 season he signed a two year contract with the Polish first division Jagiellonia Białystok, but this was end of December 2012 disbanded after only four missions in the Ekstraklasa again.

A month later signed Zahorski at Premier League rivals and his former club Gornik Zabrze a new contract until the end of the season 2012/13 with an option for another year. After only eight games in the Ekstraklasa and a goal has been scored his contract was not renewed after the end of the season. On July 22 2013 Tomasz Zahorski signed a 1.5 -year contract with the American second division side San Antonio Scorpions FC. In his first season for the Scorpions Zahorski achieved nine goals in 14 games. In November 2013 he extended his contract expiring at the end of a further two years.

National

On 17 October 2007 Tomasz Zahorski was against Hungary, his debut for the Polish national team. From coach Leo Beenhakker he was even nominated in the squad for the European Championship in Austria and Switzerland. Since early 2009, however, he was not nominated.
