Tomislav Piplica

Tomislav " Pipi " Piplica [ tɔmislaʋ piplitsa ] ( born April 5, 1969 in Bugojno, Yugoslavia ) is a former football goalkeeper of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Club career

He began his career with twelve years at NK Iskra Bugojno as a field player. Only a year later, he was goalkeeper. As a professional player, he only worked abroad. His clubs were NK Zagreb NK Istra Pula, HNK Segesta Sisak and NK Samobor (all in Croatia) and since 1998 Energie Cottbus.

In the 2001 /02 season he was mainly known in Germany through a header own goal, in which he a harmless ball ( the ball ) by Marcel Witeczek Borussia Moenchengladbach crashed on his head and went into the goal. For this goal, he got on the show TV Total Stefan Raab Raab of the week, he personally took in reception.

Because of its peculiarities - he had in the 2004/05 season as the only player two autograph cards with different hairstyles - he was in Cottbus quickly become firm favorites. National

At the FIFA U -20 World Youth Championship 1987 in Chile, he became world champion with the Yugoslav team in the finals defeated with, inter alia, Robert Prosinečki, Davor Šuker, Zvonimir Boban and Predrag Mijatovic, the German team on penalties. As a substitute keeper however Piplica played a game. In the National Team of Bosnia - Herzegovina Piplica had nine operations.
