Tomo Morimoto

Tomo Morimoto (森 本 友Japanese Tomo Morimoto; * December 27, 1983 in Shiso, Hyogo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese marathon runner.

In 2004 she was ten when San'yo road race.

In 2006 she was fifth in the Osaka Women's Marathon in 2:27:46 hours at her debut over this distance. At the Vienna City Marathon, she won in 2:24:33 and remained just above the track record. In 2007, she was twelfth in Osaka and could not compete again in Vienna injury.

The following year, she won in Osaka as the best Japanese second in 2:25:34, but had to defer the selection for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing Yurika Nakamura. She started instead again in Vienna, where he was runner-up.

In 2009 she was eighth in the London Marathon, 2010 Third at the Berlin Marathon, 2011, she won the Hokkaido Marathon. In April 2012, she retired from competitive sports.
