Tonja Buford-Bailey

Tonja Buford - Bailey (born Buford, born December 13, 1970 in Dayton, Ohio) is a former American track and field athlete and Olympic bronze medalist.

Buford - Bailey took part in the Olympic Games in 1992, 1996 and 2000. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, she won the bronze medal in the 400 - meter hurdles, behind the Jamaican Deon Hemmings ( gold) and the US-American Kim Batten ( silver).

She also won the silver medal with a hundredth behind Kim Batten, the s set a new world record of 52.61 at the 1995 World Championships in Gothenburg.

She has been married since October 28, 1995 by the American Footballer Victor Bailey and mother of a son.
