The Tono ( Nuno - eno ) is the main river in the Oecusse enclave belonging to East Timor.
Course
It rises in the subdistrict Oesilo and ends in the subdistrict Pante Macassar the place Lifau in the Savu Sea. Like many other rivers Timor he leads in the dry season, no water.
On its shores are the largest rice fields in the district, especially in the places Lifau and Padiae.
Trivia
In Pasar Tono, where the road from Pante Macassar crossed the river after Oesilo, takes place every week on Tuesday held the largest market of Oecusse.
