Tony Johnstone

Alastair Anthony "Tony" Johnstone ( born 2 May 1956 in Bulawayo ) is a Zimbabwean professional golfer. More than 20 years he was a charismatic figure on the PGA European Tour. Since May 2006, he is eligible to play on the European Seniors Tour.

Career

Johnstone grew up in Zimbabwe, along with other Gulf sizes, as Nick Price and Mark McNulty, and was 1979 professional golfer. On the European Tour, he won six tournaments, including the prestigious final tournament, the Volvo Masters in 1992. His last victory on the tour was at the 2001 Qatar Masters, at the same time his highest winning check. After that, Johnstone concentrated more and more on the Review of golf tournaments in the television sector. On the European Seniors Tour and he has won more tournaments in 2008 and 2009.

Johnstone is generally praised for his brilliant short game, near the greens. On Maundy directly but he has his weakness, putting, what his success rate restricted again. Tony Johnstone is married to his wife Karen since 1981, has two children, Dale ( born 1985 ) and Lauren (* 1990), and currently resides in Sunningdale, England.
