Tony Tan

Tony Tan Keng Yam ( born February 7, 1940 in Singapore ) is a Singaporean politician and, since 1 September 2011, president of the city-state.

Life

Tan studied economics and mathematics at the National University of Singapore, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and at the University of Adelaide.

From February 11, 1979 to September 3, 1988, Tan MP in the Parliament of Singapore.
