The Tooth Fairy ( Toothless ) is an American fantasy - comedy film from the year 1997. Directed by Melanie Mayron, the screenplay was written by Mark S. Kaufman.
Action
The film begins with the dentist Katherine Lewis remembers her encounters with a dentist in childhood. Her father and many other ancestors were also dentists. Lewis is himself later dentist; it is professionally successful, however, remains unmarried and has no friends.
Lewis dies one day in a traffic accident. Your soul is in limbo, where she talks with local officials. She learns that she must do good deeds to go to heaven. If they will not succeed in it, they will go to hell. Lewis signs a contract in which it is committed as a tooth fairy and is trained.
Lewis helps the boy Bobby Jameson, who can see them. She finds out that children who have at least one primary tooth, can see it - what is the adults not possible. She wants to show the adults in order to help the children more effectively. The authorities in Limbo warn them. Lewis shows the adults, what it should be brought to hell with an elevator. She finds herself surprisingly on earth again and learns that she gets a second chance. She continues to work as a dentist and meets Bobby.

The magazine TV directly 22/2007 wrote that the film had a " naive, almost childlike charm ".
