Torey Hayden

Torey Lynn Hayden (actually Victoria Lynn Hayden, born May 21, 1951 in Livingston, Montana ) is an American author and psychologist.

Life

Hayden was born in 1951 in Montana. In 1980 she moved to Wales. In 1982 she married a Scotsman. Her daughter Sheena, with whom she lives on a farm in Scotland at the time, was born in 1985.

Torey Lynn Hayden is a trained psychologist and teacher for emotionally disturbed and mentally disabled children and young people. She developed a method for the treatment of mutism ( muteness in existing language ability ) and obtained through the exciting case description of "their" children international attention. In their home country and in Europe it is one of the most famous and successful authors of psychological fiction book.

In " Sheila " is about as Torey L. Hayden, the six-year old Sheila R. met after she tried to burn a three year old boy.

The book " Do you hear me, Venus? " Dealt most with the theme mutism. Torey Hayden is trying to solve a traumatized seven- year-old from the past and to accompany them in the future.
