Torgon

Torgon ( colloquially Balcon du Chablais ) is a place of community Vionnaz ( District Monthey ) in the French- speaking part of the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Torgon is known primarily as a ski station of the ski resort Les Portes du Soleil, the largest ski area in Europe, and for the annual mountain bike race Torgonabike. Torgon is also the official training site of the Centre Mondial du Cyclisme, part of the Union Cycliste Internationale. In addition, in Torgon the clothing of the Skischullehrer the whole of Switzerland is made.

Torgon is accessible via a third-class road from Vionnaz from. The post bus runs the route Aigle- Torgon (as of 2013), five times on weekdays and on weekends and holidays four times a day.
