Torill Fjeldstad

Torill Fjeldstad ( born February 22, 1958 in Bærum ) is a Norwegian former alpine skier. She was one of the early 1980s to the world's best downhill skiers.

In the years 1975 and 1976 was Fjeldstad European Junior Champion in the downhill. Even before she reached on 4 January 1975 and the third in the slalom in Garmisch -Partenkirchen their first podium in the World Cup. At the beginning of the 1980s, she focused increasingly on the downhill and scored after a long break three podium finishes in the World Cup: In December 1980, a second place in Piancavallo and a third place in Altenmarkt and in January 1981 a third place in Megève.

At the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid Fjeldstad drove in the exit to 7th place. In the World Cup downhill in Schladming / House 1982 Fjeldstad drove just past a medal in fourth. In 1984, she ended her career after two point-less seasons.
