Toshiro Suga

Toshirō Suga (Japaneseトシロー·スガ; born August 22, 1950 in Tokyo) is a Japanese aikido teacher, actor and painter.

Biography

On February 16, 1968, he started at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Ueshiba Morihei Aikido in Tokyo to learn. Since then he has trained under Kisshomaru Ueshiba, Koichi Tohei, Kisaburo Osawa, Seigo Yamaguchi, Arikawa Sadateru, Morihiro Saitō, Akira Tohei and Mitsugi Saotome.

In 1971 he came to Paris to study at the art school. Here he learned finally Nobuyoshi Tamura know and has since worked closely with him.

In 1979 he played the role of Chang in the James Bond film Moonraker.

1985 to 1989 he lived in Canada and trained members of the Canadian Army in aikido and in the handling of the bayonet.

Sugas painting was shown in several exhibitions in Paris and Tokyo, and he is a life member of the group " Le Salon ".
