Touch (river)
The River at Plaisance- du-Touch
The Touch is a river in France, which runs in the Midi-Pyrénées region in the Haute- Garonne. It rises near the plateau of Lannemezan in the municipality of Lilhac, drained generally in a northeasterly direction and empties after 75 kilometers at the north-western outskirts of Toulouse as a left tributary of the Garonne.
Because it leads to droughts little water, is - as with most rivers on the plateau of Lannemezan - the water level is artificially regulated; by some dams on the river, and the irrigation channel Canal de Saint- Martory which leads into his case in Tournefeuille in touch.
