Labastidette

Labastidette ( Occitan Vilanava Tolosana ) is a commune with 2194 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haute- Garonne and the Région Midi -Pyrénées. The inhabitants are called Labastidettois.

General

Labastidette is the irrigation canal Canal de Saint- Martory, as well as the rivers and Ousseau Touch, 20 km south-west of Toulouse and is part of the Aire urbaine de Toulouse (extended urban area ), and the Communauté d' agglomà you Muretain ( community network).

As indicated in the name, the community is probably an old Bastide, a city founded in the Middle Ages and largely built in a train in southern France. The establishment of a Bastide carried out according to economic, political or military considerations.

The population increased from 248 (1962) on the present state.

The parish church dates from the 19th century.
