Tour Gan

The Tour Gan is a skyscraper in the skyscraper district of La Défense in Courbevoie, west of Paris. It has 44 floors and is 179 meters high to the roof. Including the antenna on the roof to do so, it is 187 meters.

It is the third tallest building in La Défense, after the Tour Total Coupole and the Tour Areva. The building houses offices of the French insurance group GAN.

To mark the start of construction in the spring of 1972 called for a protest campaign to reduce the height of the skyscraper. The protests, however, remained unsuccessful and the building was completed at the scheduled amount.

From 1995 to 2001 the building was renovated, whereby all asbestos has been removed.
