Trans States Airlines is an American regional airline based in Bridgeton, Missouri. She flies for United Airlines as United Express and is, as GoJet Airlines, owned by Trans State Holdings, Inc.

History

Trans States Airlines, founded in 1982 as Resort Air. 1985 closed Resort Air and Trans World Airlines, a code - share agreement and Resort Air flew as Trans World Express. The fleet of Trans World Express consisted of 15 Metro II and four Metro III and flew to six cities in Missouri and Illinois.

1989 changed the Resort Air name was dropped and Trans States Airlines. In the same year Trans States Airlines launched flights with aircraft of type BAe Jetstream 32 from Los Angeles under the name USAir Express.

1991 acquired Trans States an additional 19 lines of Trans World Express by Air Midwest, including a fleet of eight Embraer EMB 120, BAe Jetstream 15 32 This Trans States Airlines flew to 30 cities in the Midwestern United States. It was followed by the deployment of the first ATR 72

In 1993, a shuttle service in Chicago under the name of United Express, headquartered in St. Louis was established. The flights were made with BAe ATP machines.

1994 joined Trans States with Alaska Airlines, Northwest Airlines and USAir the first 3-way codeshare agreement for feeder services to their hubs Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego. In 1995, the Embraer EMB -120 were replaced by BAe Jetstream 41. In the same year Trans States Airlines began connecting flights as Trans World Connection and United Express from the hub John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York on the east coast of the USA.

1998 of flights from New York JFK for Delta Connection. With newly acquired Embraer ERJ 145 was followed by flights for United Express from Chicago O'Hare and in 2000 for Trans World Express from the hub Lambert Airport, St. Louis. Also began in 2000 with the flight operations on the east coast as U.S. Airways Express with ERJ 145 and Jetstream 41st

In 2002 merged American Airlines and Trans World Airlines and Trans States Airlines started with feeder services as American Connection from St. Louis hub. Followed in 2003 by a new agreement with a term of 10 years with United Airlines for flights with 25 - 50 - seater aircraft.
