Traumtänzer, the seventh studio album by the German medieval rock band Schandmaul. The album was released on 28 January 2011 on CD, double vinyl and as an Extended Edition (includes CD and a making-of DVD).

The cover shows the band with their instruments in back light on a field standing, leaving only the outlines of the people can be seen.
Content
The album is compared with other Schandmaulalben a very varied and eager to experiment. Musically it is very versatile, so come less typical for Schandmaul songs used, but there are different styles of music with folk rock combined. So is the song "Assassin" similar to the older songs " tyrant " and " crescent moon " created oriental and tells the story of an Arab assassin who will kill his mistress. " On the high seas ," similar to the " sailor grave " by the King of Fools CD, as both (instrumental and content ) have typical sailor elements. What is new is the use of a polka, so the song is entirely new Pact Schandmaulklänge. Content, the song tells of a lover who sells his soul to the Devil (similar to the " minstrel " of True Heroes ) in order to win his love for himself. It is unusual to find many quiet and mostly acoustic songs, such as " The Rose " or " My Song ". Also, use is often made of epic choruses, sometimes accompanied by an orchestra. Traumtänzer is the first album without an instrumental song.
A recurring element is the dream, which plays a central role in several songs. Also, reference is often made to magic and alchemy ( " witches basics " and " The Alchemist ").
A special feature is the song " Gea's dream," as there is a section from the book published in February 2011 Infinity - The Tower of Wolfgang tells hollow leg.
