Treaty of Nürtingen

The Nürtinger agreement was signed on January 25, 1442 between the two Württemberg Count Ludwig I and his brother Ulrich V.

The contract is divided into two parts Württemberg permanently. The Stuttgart under Part V. Ulrich included, among others, the towns of Cannstatt, Göppingen, Marbach, Neuffen, Nürtingen, Schorndorf Waiblingen; to Uracher part under Ludwig I included the cities Balingen, Calw, Herrenberg, Leonberg, Münsingen, Tuttlingen and Tübingen. Just one year before the Nürtinger contract shortly after the wedding Ulrich V. with Margarethe von Cleve already a land partition took place, which was, however, limited only to four years and foresaw not the same territorial limits.

The division has been repealed by Münsinger contract of 14 December 1482 and in the Esslinger Treaty of 1492.
