Trévou-Tréguignec

Trévou- Tréguignec ( Breton to trévou ) is a commune with 1445 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Côtes- d'Armor in the Brittany region.

Geography

Trévou- Tréguignec lies directly on the coast of the English Channel and is part of the Côte de Granit Rose. The municipality borders on Penvénan the east, Camlez in the south and to the west Trélévern. The nearest large towns are Perros- Guirec and Lannion. Trévou- Tréguignec has with the one -kilometer-wide sandy beach at Baie de Trévou-Tréguignec/Trestel ( Bay of Trévou-Tréguignec/Trestel ) a major attraction for tourists. The village Trévou lies west of the bay and the resort Tréguignec east of it.

History

In 1671 joined the places and Trévou Tréguignec together. Since 1790 they form a separate municipality.
