Trézilidé

Trézilidé ( Trézilidé Breton ) is a commune with 276 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Finistère in the Brittany region. It belongs to the Communauté de communes Local Government Association du Pays de Landivisiau. The inhabitants are called Trézilidéens.

The name Trézilidé likely to result from the Breton word for village ( Treb ) and a previously unknown saints.

Geography

The municipality is located in the north of Brittany, about 9 km in a straight line south of the Atlantic coast. Morlaix is located approximately 19 km east-southeast, the major city and port of Brest 38 km south-west of Paris and about 470 km to the east.

About Landivisiau or Morlaix, with links to European Route 50, which runs from Brest to Rennes, as well as to regional stations on the parallel to E 50 running track.

History

Trézilidé emerged from division of the municipalities of Plouzévédé and Tréflaouénan. The first mention of the town is found in the 15th century. From the 17th and 18th centuries, among other things, the church Saint- Péran originate (built in 1767) and some religious icons and relics.
