Trifon Korobeynikov

Trifon Korobejnikow (Russian Трифон Коробейников; * 16th century; † 17th century ) was a Russian merchant from Moscow and later became clerk and deacon.

Korobejnikow lived in the transition from the 16th to the 17th century. 1582 he undertook a pilgrimage to a monastery on Athos, to pray for the soul of the Terrible murdered by his father Ivan Tsarevich Ivan Ivanovich ( 1554-1581 ). He described in 1593 the wooden Minsk lock on the Swislatsch. In the same year he went to Palestine. He returned with a replica of the Holy Sepulchre back to Moscow. He described his journey in 1594 in the book Описание пути от Москвы до Царьграда ( From Moscow to Constantinople Opel ). 1594, he was also the author of a memorandum for the Moscow Council in its second session with the deacon Ogarkov to financial matters Tsar Feodor I ( Отчет московскому правительству (1594 ) в розданных деньгах во время второго посольства вместе с дьяком Огарковым, по поручению царя Федора ).
