Triinu Kivilaan

Triinu Kivilaan ( born January 13, 1989 in Viljandi ) is a former Estonian pop-rock and R & B singer. She is best known as a member of the band Vanilla Ninja.

Career

Kivilaan learned four years, bass, piano and saxophone, and participated in singing competitions. She worked as a model, replaced on August 7, 2004 but at Vanilla Ninja Maarja Kivi, who had left the band. With Vanilla Ninja Kivilaan participated in the Euro Vision Song Contest 2005, where they antretend for Switzerland, occupied the eighth place. The finale saw 150 million people.

In January 2006, she left the band again. The production team Fabian King and Ollie Stan ( 03 | Studio) then wrote several songs for Kivilaan. In addition, you stand since May 2008, the Manager Rainer Moslener ( No Angels and Christina Stürmer ) to the side.

The debut single, Home, which was published in March 2008, missed the charts. More successful was the title Fallen, who joined in the German single charts in the summer of 2008. He was the advance single from her first solo album entitled Now and Forever, which was released in late August.

After their debut album could not place in the charts, she retired until further notice from the public. She now lives in Pratteln, Basel and works in a boutique. In 2011 she finished her career as a musician. Among the former band members Kivilaan has no more contact.

She has two siblings, Kerli and Markus.

Often, August 4, 1987 was given as date of birth, so that they could deal with the child labor protection. Criminally, it was not pursued because there were only rumors among fans for Switzerland to the ESC participation. In Estonia, however, was always her true birth year, 1989, stated.
