Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, is a private college with about 2250 students; it is one of the oldest colleges in the United States.

History

Trinity College was founded in 1823 under the name of Washington College as a second facility in Connecticut with an Episcopal orientation; In 1845 it received its present name. 1872, the campus was purchased from the Connecticut State Capitol and 1878 related.
