The Val Trompia is a valley in northern Italy, which runs from the Tre Valli, a massif of the Dolomites in the north-south direction into the plane of Brescia. It has a length of 50 km and flows through the Mella. The Val Trompia is one of the three main valleys in the province of Brescia, the other two are the Valcamonica and the Val Sabbia.

The valley has no traces of landscape formation by glaciers. It has in the higher valley regions veins that indicate an active mining activity since ancient times. The existing since that time iron weapons production brought the valley inhabitants during the Venetian domination considerable autonomy and reduced taxation.

The name of the valley is derived from the Celtic tribe of the Trumpiliner whose name is called on the Tropaeum Alpium, built in today's La Turbie to the glory of the Augustan Alps campaigns, among the Alps defeated peoples.
