Trond Iversen

Trond Iversen ( born March 22, 1976 in Drammen ) is a retired Norwegian cross-country skiers, who specializes in sprint competitions.

Career

Iversen won twice so far in the World Cup. In 2002, he won the sprint in the Italian Val di Fiemme. This season, he could decide the overall standings in the Sprint World Cup itself. It was then three years until he was able to celebrate another World Cup victory. Iversen won in 2005 in Gothenburg, Sweden. In the sprint overall World Cup, he finished the season in third place. To kick off the World Cup season 2005/ 06 Iversen won with Johan Kjølstad the team sprint in Dusseldorf. In 2007, he was indeed in a World Cup competition show that no podium, but to secure due to frequent place in the top ten, ranked second in the overall standings of the Sprint Cup.

At the 2002 Winter Olympics Iversen finished sixth in the sprint competition. In 2005 he won in ninth place at the Nordic World Ski Championships.
