Trond Nymark

Trond Nymark ( born December 28, 1976 in Bergen, Norway ) is a Norwegian athlete who was especially successful in the 50 km walk.

Nymark won his first national champion in the 1990s. In 1997 and 1998 he was champion in the 10,000 m track walk, 1997, he also won on the 20 - kilometer distance. In 1998 and 1999 he became Norwegian champion over 50 km and 2000 again over 20 kilometers. In 2004, he won both 20 km and 50 km and 2005 he again won more than 50 kilometers.

International Nymark was indeed at the 1999 World Championships in Seville and 2001 in Edmonton about 50 km at the start, but did not reach each goal. At the European Championships 2002 Nymark was able to place first far forward as he reached the fifth place, but he had six minutes behind bronze. This was followed by an eighth place at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis and a 13th place at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. In 2005, he reached the fourth place with just over two minutes behind on bronze medal at the World Championships in Helsinki.

When walkers World Cup on May 14, 2006 in A Coruña Nymark improved his personal best to 3:41:30 hours and so finished second behind the Russian Denis Nischegorodow. At the European Championships in 2006 Nischegorodow was disqualified during Nymark looked a long time to be the winner. But left him at the end in a pure racing in the rain the forces, and he was overtaken by the Frenchman Yohann Diniz, Jesús Ángel García the Spaniards and Russians Yuri Andronow. With almost three minutes behind Diniz and almost a minute behind Andronow occupied Nymark fourth place. 2007 came Nymark at the European Cup in Leamington Spa up to one second of his best time from the previous year up and became once again a second behind the Russians, this time it was Vladimir Kanaikin. At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka Nymark finished in eighth place. 2008 Nymark could achieve a position on the podium at the World Cup with a third place again at the Olympic Games in Beijing, he did not arrive, however the finish.

At the World Championships in Berlin in 2009, he won in a time of 3:41:16 hours, the silver medal in the 50 km behind the Russians Sergei Kirdjapkin in 3:38:35 hours.

Nymarks 20 - km - best stands at 1:22:52 hours since 2004. He is 1.80 m tall and weighs 64 kg.
