Troy Elder

Troy Elder (born 15 October 1977 in Bunbury, Western Australia ) is an Australian hockey player. The midfielder was in the squad of the Australian national hockey team ( Kookaburras ), with whom he won the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics. In the 2000 Olympics he won the bronze medal with the Australian team. Troy Elder is particularly known as a shooter at penalty corners.

Elder played in Australia in the Australian Hockey League ( AHL ) for the Queensland Blades and was at the field hockey World Championship for Men 2002 awarded as the best player.

For the season 2000/2001 Elder joined the Dutch Hoofdklasse to play there with Oranje Zwart in Eindhoven. In 2005 he became Dutch champion with Oranje Zwart.
