The Truby Trio ( Rainer Truby Trio) is a German music project in the field of electronic dance music.

History

The frontman of the group, Rainer Truby from Freiburg im Breisgau, began in the early 1990s to produce electronic dance music with jazz and African influences. In 1997 he founded with Roland Appel and Christian Prommer the Truby Trio. After several club hits in the 1990s (among Alegre, Primavera ) and a DJ-Kicks compilation with several of their tracks, the project released in 2003 his debut album, Elevator Music, in which the older tracks as well as new productions recording found. The album succeeded in entering the Top 20 of the German Media Control Charts.

Music

The project treats a wide variety of musical influences, including jazz, Latin, House, Drum and Bass and Afrobeat and bring them into context with the dance music. The music is consistently danceable and characterized by complex rhythms, but some pieces are real songs with soul and disco music influence.
