TrustPower

TrustPower Limited is a leading New Zealand supplier of power generation and electricity supply, based in Tauranga, which was founded in 1993. The company is one of the 50 largest companies in the country and listed on the NZX. Legally, it is a limited liability, which is about a limited partnership without complementary.

2008, total assets amounted to 98 million ND. The main shareholders are Infratil with 50.5 % and the " Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust ( TECT ) " with 33%.

TrustPower is the fifth largest energy company in New Zealand and has become 100 % renewable energy prescribed (hydropower and wind farms ). With 34 private power plants are powered by 260,000 customers of TrustPower. The facilities are located in the regions of Northland, Taranaki, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, and at the Bay of Plenty, in Otago and Nelson and also in Manawatu, therefore distributed over the entire island.

Developments

Trust Power is developing a wind farm in " Awhitu ", near Waiuku and the " Wairau Hydro Scheme ", near Blenheim and the " Kaiwera Downs Wind Farm" in Southland. In November 2008, also was the " Snowtown Wind Farm," will be opened as the first wind farm in Australia. In Adelaide, a power plant was built with 16 turbines.
