Trutzbingen

The Trutzbingen is the ruins of a round tower on the outskirts of Münster- Sarmsheim towards Bingen am Rhein. It is the remnant of a customs barrier, which was built in 1493. Get the half shell of a round tower. Since 2002 Trutzbingen is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley.

History

After a fire in the city of Bingen in 1490 the municipal authorities of the city to repair the damage was trying to raise money through the implementation of market money.
