Tubac is a census -designated place in Santa Cruz County in the U.S. state of Arizona. Tubac has 1191 inhabitants ( 2010) on an area of 21.2 km ². The village is affected by the Interstate 19 and is located on the Santa Cruz River.
History
Tubac was founded in 1752 as a Spanish fort Presidio San Ignacio de Tubac. The village was the first colonial garrison in what is now Arizona.
1996 comedy film Tin Cup was filmed at the Tubac Golf Resort.
