Tuczępy, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship

Tuczępy [ tut͡ʃɛmpɨ ] is a rural community and their main town in Poland, in the Province of the Holy Cross about 49 km southeast of Kielce and 21 km east of the county town of Busko -Zdrój. The population is around 4000.

History

The place was first mentioned in the 12th century. In the Tatar invasion of the town was destroyed and during the Swedish Deluge he was sacked. In the village Nieciesławice settled in the 18th century the family Kołłątaj down and reconnaissance Hugo Kołłątaj spent his youth.

1795 fell Tuczępy with the Third Partition of Poland to Austria. 1809 came to the Duchy of Warsaw and in 1815 to the Kingdom of Poland. After the end of World War II, the place came back to the newly formed Poland.

Community

To Tuczępy include the districts Brzozówka, Chałupki, Dobrow, Góra, Grzymała, Januszkowice, Jarosławice, Kargow, Nieciesławice, Niziny, Podlesie, Rzędów, Sakhalin, and Sieczków Wierzbica. The proportion of arable land is around 60 %, the proportion of forest around 30%. The municipality has an agricultural- industrial character.

Attractions

  • The single-nave Baroque church of John the Baptist ( John the Baptist ) from the years 1666 to 1674 in Tuczępy.
  • The former manor house dating back to 1930, now houses the municipality.
