Tullibody

Tullibody ( Scottish Gaelic Tullow Bòide ) is a small town in the Scottish Unitary Authority Clackmannanshire. It is situated in the Central Lowlands, about three kilometers north-west of Alloa and six kilometers east-northeast of Stirling. In 2001, Tullibody recorded 6814 inhabitants.

The settlement Tullibody has existed for long periods, but it grew only in the course of industrialization in the 19th century the city approach. Throughout history, two whiskey distilleries were in Tullibody. The in 1813 Cambus distillery produced grain whiskey and was decommissioned in 1993. Between 1957 and 1980, the Strathmore distillery also produced (also called North of Scotland) Grain Whisky in Tullibody. The buildings are partially demolished.
