Tumuk Humak Mountains

The Tumuk - Humak Mountains are a 120 km long mountain range in southeastern Suriname, in the district Sipaliwini.

It is one of several mountain ranges border with Brazil and the continuation of the same mountain in French Guiana. The watershed of the mountain range forms the border with Brazil, where the National Park Tumucumaque followed. The largest collection on surinamischem base area is 728 m.

The name comes for the first time in De la Cruz 1775 before as the Sierra de Tumucuraque.
