Turkey Run State Park

The Turkey Run State Park is located in Parke County of the U.S. state of Indiana. Founded as Indiana's second state park in 1916, it houses since 1919, the Turkey Run Inn. Overall, its area extends over 953 hectares.

Both the Turkey Run State Park and Shades State Park located on Sugar Creek. Both have the deep gorges created by the cutting of the Turkey runs in the river bed of sandstone. The contrast between glacial movements emerged flat plains and the sudden deep canyons regularly attracts visitors.

Hikers can use the various walkways of the park. A suspension bridge connects the two banks of the river.
