The parliamentary elections in Turkey in 1987 took place on 29 October 1987. There were elections to the 18th Grand National Assembly and the second democratic elections since the military coup in 1980.

In this election were politicians such as Necmettin Erbakan and Ecevit and Süleyman Demirel, who had been occupied in 1980 by the military in politics ban, first run again for election. Bülent Ecevit joined as Chairman of the Demokratik Sol Parti and Süleyman Demirel as President of the Yol Partisi Doğru because the former parties Adalet Partisi Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi and whose chairman, they were each, were banned since 1980.
