The Tuzla airport ( Bosnian / Serbian: Aerodrome Tuzla, English: Tuzla International Airport ) is one of four international airports in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the city of Tuzla in northern Bosnia.
History
The airport was built in the former Yugoslavia as a military airfield. 1992 took over the United Nations control of the airport and since 1996, he serves as a military airfield for the SFOR. It was only on 10 October 1998, the airport was opened for civil aviation.
Destinations and airlines
Since March 30, 2009 B & H Airlines flies in cooperation with Turkish Airlines twice a week ( Mondays and Wednesdays) to and from Frankfurt am Main. The flight takes about 2 hours 20 minutes and is performed with an ATR 72. Since June 15, 2013 Wizz Air flies on Tuesdays and Saturdays and from Basel.
