Tvangeste

Tvangeste is a Russian Dark metal band from Kaliningrad. The band name was taken from the Old Prussian castle Twangste on the territory of the later Königsberg, which was destroyed in 1255 by the Knights of the Teutonic Order.

History

Tvangeste were founded in August 1996 and the project took of singer Michael " Miron " Chirva almost two years later official trains and the single Blood Dreams, as well as the demo Thinking ... brought forth. At that time the band consisted of Miron ( electric guitar, vocals), Nikolay Kazmin ( electric guitar ), Victoria (keyboard) and Vano Mayoroff ( electric bass). With this line- 2000 also appeared the first official album Damnation of Regiomontum. The year 2002 then was dominated by the second album, entitled Firestorm, which - according to the rather mediocre production quality of its predecessor - a complex maturation process under ran and was recorded with the help of the Baltic Symphonic Orchestra and the Prussian Chamber Choir. Further, took over Naturelle, the wife of the singer, who is also the guitar entirely Nikolay Kazmin left, the position of the keyboard player and Cezar Mielko worked as a session drummer.

In April 2005, immigrated Michael " Miron " and Naturelle Chirva to Canada. An album with Andy LaRocque should take over production, was announced for 2006, but never appeared. Since then, it has been quiet around the band.

Music style

Tvangeste play Dark Metal in the vein of Cradle of Filth, Therion with Moonsorrow and screeching vocals, female vocals and orchestral elements. The music alternates between black metal and pagan metal. The lyrics deal with the Old Prussian history and mythology.
