Tvrdošín

Tvrdošín ( German rarely Turdoschin; Hungarian Turdossin; Polish Twardoszyn ) is a city in northern Slovakia.

It was first mentioned in writing in 1265 as Tourdosina and consists of the districts of Krasna Horka (1974 amalgamated ), Medvedzie (1968 amalgamated ) and Tvrdošín.

The city has also a UNESCO world heritage monument: the Roman Catholic wooden church of All Saints in the second half of the 15th century, which was included in the 2008 list.
