Tycho van Meer

Tycho van Meer ( born September 30, 1974 in Eindhoven ) is a former Dutch hockey player. In the 1990s, he was one of the best players of his country.

Van Meer played in the first Dutch hockey league in the clubs Oranje Zwart Eindhoven, HGC Wassenaar and Amsterdamsche H & BC. On 30 January 1994 he was at the match against South Africa his debut in the Dutch national hockey team. Until his resignation on 25 June 2000, he played a total of 90 international matches and scored 17 goals.

He celebrated his biggest success at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, when he became Olympic champion with the Dutch team.
