Tylsen is a district of the county town of Salzwedel in the Altmark Salzwedel in Saxony- Anhalt, Germany.

History

The establishment of the village is attributed to the Slavs, the Tylsen populated by 800. At the first mention of it came Tylsen 956 when Otto I the pencil Quedlinburg gave six villages, including the identical with Tylsen Tulci. Still in 1178 to Tylsen was owned by the pin, later the monastery was St. Ludgeri added in Helmstedt and 1238 consisted of Tylsen feudal estate of Osterburg.
